As with most e-commerce sites, you just choose your products, add them to your basket and checkout. We have implemented a system called Ecwid which keeps track of all orders and bookings, and allows you to select multiple dates and sessions which was a key requirement from all the feedback we received.
We take security very seriously when it comes to your personal details. Your booking information is held within the Ecwid system and allows us to track all bookings, customer details, create offers and allocate customers to groups for ease of contact. The details in this section of the system will be your email address, booking details and address book.
The new system now incorporates credit and debit card transactions and these are handled by Stripe who are one of the leading payment processing companies.
How it works with Ecwid:
After adding shipping information to your booking, you aren't redirected to the payment processor page (as you were before with Paypal), but instead see the payment form right on the checkout page.
In this case Ecwid is working within a customer’s browser (i.e. payment information is not stored on the server where the site resides). It means that when a customer inputs their credit card information, the data is not transferred to the server where Ignition Tennis is hosted. Ecwid connects straight to the payment gateway via a highly secure channel and sends a request with the data for the booking. This information is not transferred to Ecwid servers, and is not stored or collected by either Ecwid or Ignition Tennis. The payment gateway performs all necessary operations with this data and returns a callback to Ignition to finalise your booking.
This solution was verified and approved by a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) company.
If you have any issues with the system then please get in touch but our development team have been working hard to ensure this transition is smooth and a big upgrade to the way we take bookings. The booking pages are all designed responsively meaning they will work across all devices and browser sizes.
